Bartol- Mrs. Helen Bartol, age 83 years a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, November 1, 2006. Helen was born in Altlog, Yugoslavia on December 26, 1922. She was a member of Our Lady of Loretto R.C. Church. Helen lived for her home and family and especially her two grandsons. She enjoyed her garden and was known for her superb dinners and wonderful baking. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ludwig, son Erhard and daughter-in-law Mabel, 2 grandsons David and Daniel and sister Albina Wiederwohl in Cleveland, Ohio as well as by numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by her son Harold in 1971, her parents, 1 sister and her brothers in Yugoslavia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4th when family and friends will gather at Our Lady Of Loretto R.C. Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a. m. celebrated by Rev. Alan Campeau. All services will be completed in the church with a private interment in St. Andrew's R.C. Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 North Court Street Friday evening (tonight) where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy the family respectfully request memorials to the Thunder Bay Humane Society.
