BABIAK- Mrs. Victoria Mary Babiak, age 85 years, passed away unexpectedly in the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. She was born in Fort William on June 23, 1923 and was a lifetime resident. Victoria loved playing her scratch tickets and her regular trips to Intercity Mall with Bill to share a cup of coffee with friends. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her loving and devoted husband William with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 4th of this year, nieces and nephews Lorraine Gibson, Irene Salerno, Joseph Salerno, David (Shirley) Garba, Joseph (Kathy) Babiak and Gayle (Michael) Poluyko as well as by numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Anthony and Thomas Salerno. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 when family and friends will gather in St. Andrew's R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Allan Savage. Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held on Sunday, August 17th from 2-4 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N.
