Some things are etched in stone. Like the words ‘imagine’, ‘hope’, ‘believe’ and ‘peace’ which greet you upon entering our new Sargent Family Reception Centre.

With the calibre and atmosphere of a fine hotel, ours is in fact Thunder Bay’s largest on site room for receptions. Our round tables, set for 8 people, facilitate conversation and fellowship among everyone at each table.

As well, a hall in which one may maneuver with ease, the family and friends alike may greet other visitors including those with whom they might not have spoken in a long while. Our directors know that an additional value of funerals is that they tend to be reunions for many.

With two full walls of windows, our wheelchair accessible, climate controlled reception centre also houses a fully staffed kitchen, men’s and women’s washrooms, a barrier-free washroom, sound system, and large cloakroom. It is a versatile setting for sharing memories and offering condolences, from the most intimate gathering to one with over 200 persons.

Brand-new, elegant surroundings have inspired many to request the use of our centre for wedding receptions and family celebrations!
